GHML GAMING TOURNAMENT RULES

UPDATED April 1st, 2024

Ensuring Fair Tournament Play

Our rules are geared toward creating the most fair and transparent space for like-minded gamers to compete and have fun. There will always be ways to manufacture advantage, or work around the rules in the Esports arena.

The spirit of our rules is to ensure that each contest will only include players that demonstrate the legitimate skill level designed for the specific bracket; only these players will qualify for placement at our discretion. We reserve the right to remove any competitor or team, who has either intentionally or unintentionally placed himself in a division to which his or her current skill level does not belong.

Our ultimate mission is to create fair play and build a like-minded community, and we will protect this without apology.

ALL RULES ON THIS PAGE SHOULD BE FOLLOWED AS A GUIDELINE. AS WE HAVE LEARNED THROUGH OUR VAST TIME AS ADMINS & HOSTS, EACH SITUATION IS DIFFERENT AND SOME SIMPLY CANNOT BE FAIRLY DETERMINED BY PRE-WRITTEN RULES. THE ADMIN WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE FINAL SAY. PLEASE BE REST ASSURED THAT EVERY DECISION WE MAKE WILL BE GEARED IN THE PLAYERS BEST INTERESTS.

  • If you have signed up to play in a GHML tournament, you must play in it. No refunds will be given unless you communicate with an admin.

Please have 'GHML Gaming' in your stream title.

DO NOT DISRESPECT ANY ADMINS. Doing so will result in an immediate forfeit of your spot in the tournament with no refund.

In regard to resets or any dispute resolutions, ANY AND ALL decisions made by an admin will be final. One way or another someone is not going to like the decision. It is never personal, its based on making the best judgement call in a given situation. Thank you for understanding.

Sign ups will close 15 minutes before tournament start times. Any entries made after will receive a refund but cannot participate in the tournament.

AFK Kills at the end of the plane will not count.

  • Results and Prizes

The payout will be made following the competition results.

GHML Gaming’s staff will review every eligible team for prize placement before officially giving away the purses.

Any free entries or discounts earned are only valid for 30 days upon delivery.

Any and all prizes or winnings must be claimed within 28 calendar days of published results.

Winners will be announced within 48 hours of the end of any tournament.

We aim to make all payouts as quickly as possible. Due to website limitations, entry fees can take 3-5 days to land in our bank. Rest assured once every entry fee for an event reaches our account we will pay your prize immediately.

    Platforms

All platforms are allowed (PC, Xbox, and PS) for any tournament.

For console players, cross-play must be "on" at all times.

    Behavior and Sportsmanship

Be respectful to everyone involved in the tournament and on every social media platform.

Play with honesty and integrity in every GHML Gaming event.

Be fair and follow the rules.

Do not use any discriminatory language.

Do not use extremely foul language.

    Do not share your account.

    Cheating

Cheating in any GHML Gaming event will result in disqualification and place you on a network-wide ban list.

Sharing an Activision account with another player to participate in a GHML Gaming tournament will result in disqualification unless this is discussed with an admin prior to starting for honest reasons.

You must use your main or best account to participate in a GHML Gaming tournament. The use of alt or smurf accounts will result in disqualification.

Reverse boosting is not allowed and will result in disqualification.

Any account manipulation that gives an unfair advantage in tournament play will result in disqualification.

If a team uses a player that has an active ban by GHML Gaming, its cohorts or Activision, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.

GHML Gaming reserves the right to monitor any player we see fit during the tournament.

If you think another team is cheating you can file a complaint.

GHML Gaming LLC reserves the right to use, publish, or share, as we see fit, the tournament stream—stream link or recording—of any registered player who participates in a GHML Gaming LLC tournament on any GHML Gaming LLC—owned or affiliate digital property—properties include but are not limited to owned and affiliated website domains, social channels, and the GHML Gaming Discord.

  • If you leave or sell your spot in a tournament without receiving admin confirmation, you will incur a Deserter Fee. The Deserter Fee will be twice the entry fee of the tournament you signed up for. In order to participate in future GHML Gaming events, you must pay the total balance of the Deserter Fee.

  • Basic Rules

Be courteous and respect other peoples time. 2v2s can go on for ages all because of one player. Don't be that person, plz.

15 minute grace period between series and from the release of the bracket. Exceeding the 15 minutes will result in a forfeit.

At least one player on the team must be in the GHML Gaming Discord and ask for the 2v2 Player role in order to participate.

Moni cams, task manager and PC resets are to be done upon request.

    All vehicles are allowed.

If you wait until the end of a map/match to bring something up that could change the outcome, no reset will be given. “Speak now or forever hold your peace”

You can only use a Jailbreak if your other teammate is still alive. If both are dead then you must break your legs.

Please submit the winner in the GHML Gaming Discord under the 🚮│submit-results channel.

Exitlag is allowed, but you must inform your teammate and the opposing team that you have it on. You are also not allowed to host with exitlag, it can only be used to reduce your ping on the opposite host. Any kind of lobby manipulation is prohibited.

    Streaming

Streams (VOD) must be available upon request. This includes moni cams.

Please have 'GHML Gaming' in your stream title.

    All PC players must stream.

You and your teammate(s) are responsible for your live stream and any interruptions or connections lost.

You are not required to show your face on the livestream.

Authorized streaming platforms: Twitch, Kick, Facebook, and YouTube

    Audio

The voice of the player streaming and the in game audio must be on at all times during game play. Failure to do so will result in a DQ or a reset.

    Format

BO3/BO1 Losers if pot is over $1000

BO3/No Losers if pot is under $1000

Play for map 3 host if regions are split.

    Losers Final BO3

    Tiebreakers

    First Tie: Full reset

    Second Tie: Full Reset

    Third Tie: Damage

We don’t want to let who gets the most damage determine who wins a good series but the show must go on. Third time is the charm.

During the finals, all maps must be won on clear kills and a tie will be a full reset.

    Hosting

    NA/EU hosts only!

    Lowest seed hosts map 1

Map 3 host goes to the team with the highest kills between maps 1 and 2. If the kills are tied then the seed closest to 1 gets the host.

In losers bracket, the team closest to 1 will always host first round. After that, the team from winners bracket will host.

Grand finals, the winners bracket hosts first.

    Substitutions

Subs are allowed but they can ONLY be 1 rank higher than the original teammate.

If you are unable to find a sub within 15 minutes then it will result in a forfeit. Refunds will be given if the reason for a sub is valid and out of anyone’s control. Upon special circumstances, extra time can be added at the admins discretion.

If a sub plays more than 1 round then they must play out the entirety of the tournament. The original teammate cannot return after 2 rounds have been played by the sub.

    Resets

No more than 2 resets will be given per team per series.
Any decision made by an admin is final. If you disagree with the call, politely DM the owner or admin to address any issues.
SOLID proof is required for all resets so be confident before you submit anything. Make sure to continue playing in the case that you are NOT given a reset!

Lobby Lag/Packet Loss (1)- the lobby probably won't get better so might as well leave before the game even starts.

Texture/Frame Bug (1,2)- if this happens mid map then inform the other team and submit a clip with clear evidence. Make sure to reset your PC if this occurs.

Nuke Contracts (1,2)- if another team in the lobby begins a Nuke contract, both teams can agree to a reset within 2 minutes of the contract being picked up.

In-Game Glitches/Bugs (1,2)- unfortunate but still a part of the game. If you die or are killed by another player because of an in-game glitch be sure to have a clip with clear evidence.

Buy Station / Money Glitch (2,3)- If the buy station is glitched or you have less money then the game shows, call it out in game chat and submit a clip with proof.

Hacking (2,3)- ricochet who? If you die to a player you suspect is hacking, inform the other team and submit a clip with clear evidence of the player hacking. If the clip is 50/50 then it will not be a reset. There must be clear evidence of hacking. Please continue to play in the event you are not given a reset.

Dev Error (1,2,3)- we can never have nice things. Call of Dev Error. If this occurs please inform the other team and submit a clip with proof.

Streamsniping (3)- If you believe you are being stream-sniped or at the risk of being stream sniped, ask the team you are facing to hide their screens and yours as well. Unless it is blatant stream sniping no reset will be given.

Sabotage (4)- Don't. Any CLEAR use of sabotage will result in a map forfeit. In order for sabotage to count, there must be a mathematical chance of winning. This includes shooting balloons down to keep your opponent from rotating.

Use of Banned Item (4)- the team using the banned item will forfeit that map.

Downward Zip Line Death (4)- If you accidentally zip line down a “balloon” that results in your death you will not be given a reset.

Shadow ban (1,2,3,5)- If you or your teammate have been shadow banned in the middle of a tournament then geeeeeg. You have 15 minutes to get a different account to play on. If you cannot find a new account in that time frame, the team will forfeit the series. If the shadow ban was unnecessary then the team will receive a refund, however if the player is suspicious and the ban was justified then no refund will be given and both players will receive a network ban.

    1. Match Reset: Called before the plane finishes its path across the map.

    2. Full Reset: If there are more than 80 people left in the lobby it is a full kills reset.

    3. Reset Off Kills: If there are less then 80 people in the lobby, reset based on kills from when the incident happened. Resets will be give as long as it is mathematically possible. No kills after the incident will count. Gulag kills do not count towards the reset amount unless all 4 players have been.

    4. No Reset: Like most things, these circumstances are out of our control and there are preventative measures that can be taken to keep it from happening.

    5. Map Forfeit: Don't put yourself or your teammate in this situation.

    CDL Rules

    Lag:
If lag occurs, the game should be completed. The Player(s) that are experiencing lag should take video proof and provide it to the admins after the game has concluded. If lag is occurring, it is recommended that multiple Players provide proof of the lag. Leaving the game prematurely may result in a forfeit of the round or game.

    Disconnections:
If a Player disconnects within the first thirty (30) seconds and/or before the first kill, the game should be ended. All players must leave the game and restart the game. If a player disconnects after the first thirty seconds (30) and/or the first kill, the game must be continued, and the disconnected Player should rejoin the game.

    Normal Boundaries:
Players who move their character outside of the normal boundaries of a map may forfeit the game. Moving outside of the normal boundaries of a map includes but is not limited to part of the character’s body passing through what should be a nonpermeable surface or object and moving into any area from which a Players’ character registers shots on an opponent who is not able to register shots on the Players’ character.

    Team Killing:
Deliberate and repeated team-killing or committing suicide on purpose to gain an advantage will result in a forfeit of the game. If a team is accused of violating this rule, the accuser must provide valid video proof. Complete the Match and then report the outcome.

    Team Switching:
Team changing in-game is not allowed. If a Player joins the wrong team upon launch, the game will be restarted. Abuse of this rule may result in a forfeit of the game. If a Player changes teams after the first kill, the offending team will forfeit the game.

    Game Altering Bugs:
Bugs are defined as errors, flaws, or failures that produce an incorrect, unexpected, or unintended result during gameplay. For the purposes of procedure regarding the occurrence of Bugs during live gameplay, and at the discretion of the Administration, Bugs are separated into two categories.

    (a) Minor Bug. At the discretion of the Administration, a Minor Bug is one that does not significantly alter the outcome of a game and is, at worst, considered an inconvenience to Players. The occurrence of a Minor Bug would not result in the replay or remake of any game and Players should be instructed to play through the Bug.

    (b) Major Bug. At the discretion of the Administration, a Major Bug is one that critically or significantly alters the outcome of a game and severely hinders the performance of Teams and/or Players. The occurrence of a Major Bug would result in a restart.

    Game Restarts:
In the case of any issue, technical or otherwise, that may alter the outcome of the game as determined by the Referee, the game will be restarted based on the game mode type.

    (a) Round-Based Game Modes. The game will be restarted with the round score of the game before the incident.

    (b) Respawn-Type Game Modes. The game will be restarted from the beginning with no advantage given to either Team.

    Ties:
In the case of a tie on any game mode, the game will be replayed before moving onto the next game in the match.

    Win Conditions:
The final score on the scoreboard for each round will be the primary determining factor in which team wins or loses. For the avoidance of doubt, the scoreboard will take precedent over any in-game victory, defeat or draw messages in determining the winner of each round.

All matches, players, and lobbies are reviewed and ranked against a variety of statistical norms and historical data, which we use as our standard for fair play. As always, this is at our discretion, and we reserve the right to disqualify a team based on extreme gameplay, extreme lobby/skill variances, and any other data at our disposal.
